Why Do We….. Imagine?
2 03 2009Why do we imagine things? This is not necessarily an odd thing but it is an mind boggling, perplexing, beyond this world discussion topic! I think imagining is mainly used to think up the perfect world or something we want. Some things I imagine are the perfect vacation or even the relief I will feel when I get out of choir. I think we imagine because anything is possible if you put your mind to it, so why not put your mind to imagine something that could become a reality. I am asking you as the reader to post comments about your favorite things to imagine and why you think we imagine.

Hi Marnie — I like this question! While this may sound a bit “corny,” I always imagined myself as a teacher. I would play school, and I never gave anyone else the chance to be the teacher. Of course, I NEVER imagined just how much I would learn from my students! And I couldn’t possibly have imagined this 21st Century classroom!
That is not corny at all, on of my friends is the same way when we played teacher, and she still wants to be a teacher!

Yes, I am from the U.S. I probably should have said that. I think we imagine becuase when we imagine we think of what we want. And what we want becomes our dreams. And our dreams are what keep us going. Haha hope that makes sense.
